The Warrior Group Revealed
Episode 3 finished on a dramatic pause and introduced the initial group of heroes who will branch out from the main group to undertake their separate journey, apart from the other two tables.
The Soldiers table features Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
With 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
This explains, the initial installments of this story serve as an Introduction, connecting the individual narratives before splitting into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Combat Party
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are rare.
At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might appear mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 demonstrate why these five characters are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
First, the party has a clear idea where to go next after a intense first encounter with the antagonists.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose death kicked off the narrative’s action—used the foes for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and stealing all the powerful objects to dispose of.
The traitor then paid off his obligations and ran away to a secure base in the northern region, north of the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each adventurer has a individual motive to leave the city the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, seeks retribution.
- The adventurer knows the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous place.
- The warrior and Wicander, having resisted his relatives’ demands to kill Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
- But, their position as important members in the powerful family could enable the party enter locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, The fighter vowed a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now go with him anywhere.
Fugitives
Finally, all of them are hunted by the rulers that govern the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The rogue and Kattigan are known criminals.
- The strong figure and The healer turned against the influential house and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This means them few options but to head to the northern region in quest for the antagonist.
